YB Ustaz Wan Hassan bin Mohd Ramli was born on 17 July 1957 in Kelantan. He received his early education in Dungun and completed his secondary studies at SMK Sultan Omar (1974). He later pursued Islamic studies at Pusat Pengajian Taman Islam, Kemaman and Pondok Pasir Tumbuh, Kelantan.

He began his career in government service before venturing into teaching and politics, where he has consistently championed community development, youth empowerment, and welfare initiatives. Since 2013, he has been serving as Member of Parliament for Dungun and continues to play an active role in both political and community leadership.
