Logs, also known as roundwood, are harvested from sustainably managed forests and supplied by Kumpulan Pengurusan Kayu Kayan Terengganu. These logs originate from concession areas certified under both FSC (Forest Stewardship Council) and PEFC (Programme for the Endorsement of Forest Certification) standards, ensuring that all harvesting practices meet strict environmental, social, and economic sustainability criteria.

The forest areas are managed on a rotation cycle basis under the sustained yield system, which allows continuous forest regeneration while maintaining ecological balance and long-term productivity. Operations are carried out within designated Forest Management Units (FMU) and are closely regulated by the Forestry Department of Malaysia, ensuring compliance with national forestry guidelines and sustainable resource management policies.

Each log undergoes careful selection and grading to meet quality requirements for downstream processing, including veneer production, plywood manufacturing, and other engineered wood products. This sustainable approach guarantees a consistent supply of high-quality raw materials while supporting responsible forest stewardship and environmental conservation.
