Pesaka Timber Berhad was incorporated in 1965 and become one of the subsidiaries of Golden Pharos Berhad. The principal activity of our company is sawmiling. We cater demand largely from domestic markets as well overseas such as India, Thailand, Middle East Pakistan and Belgium. Our timbers come from a FSC certied well-managed forest. Our products have been accredited under FSC chain of custody and MTCS certication PEFC Chain of Custody.





Pesaka Timber Berhad located at Bukit Besi, Dungun, Terengganu and employed 287 workers. Our sawmill plant operates with one unit of breakdown and two units of pony-saw fed by fully automatic carriages, for cutting logs into flitches. These blocks, now convenient enough to be handled, pass on to fifteen units of re-saws and eighteen units of cross-cut saws. Our operation has a well equipped sawmill with an average output of 3,500 m3 of sawntimber a month. We guaranteed our customers the most innovative products available, delivered promptly and with particular attention on quality and services that has kept us in business for almost 3 decades.
Our Group's forest concessions are managed on a rotation cycle basis (sustained yield) under the Forest Management Unit (FMU) management system and is regulated by the Forestry Department of Malaysia. Our logs and sawntimber products are already certified under PEFC and FSC® for Chain-of-Custody (CoC). This is to ensure that our customers are provided with certified high quality products.

Tuan Mohd Badaruddin bin Ismail is a seasoned financial executive and corporate leader. Since 2021, he has served on the Board of Pesaka Terengganu Berhad, supporting strategic oversight in its timber operations. His extensive finance background—including executive roles at Golden Pharos, Telecommunication firms, and Plywood subsidiaries—offers a strong governance foundation. His ongoing contributions as CEO of Terengganu Telecommunications further highlight his leadership reach across multiple sectors.
Tuan Haji Zainal Abidin bin Mohamed plays a significant governance role at Pesaka Terengganu Berhad as a board-level member aligned with state interests. His involvement ensures that the company adheres to best practices in sustainability, corporate accountability, and local development.
Tuan Haji Ghazali bin Sulaiman is both a politician and corporate board member from Terengganu. He’s been serving as the PAS MLA for Bukit Besi since 2023, after a close contest in 2018. Alongside his political duties, he holds a board position at Pesaka Terengganu Berhad, overseeing the company’s direction. Recognized for his service, he received the AMT state award in 2025.
YB Tuan Haji Wan Hassan bin Mohd Ramli is a Malaysian politician from the Islamic Party of Malaysia (PAS), currently serving under the Perikatan Nasional (PN) coalition. He has been the Member of Parliament (MP) for Dungun, Terengganu, since 2013. Born in 1957, he previously served as a State Executive Council member (EXCO) in Terengganu, handling Youth, Sports, Culture, and Tourism from 1999 to 2004.
Before his political career, he worked with the Inland Revenue Board (LHDN) and later became Chairman of the National Water Services Commission (SPAN) from 2020 to 2022. He is actively involved in parliamentary debates and frequently raises issues concerning public welfare, infrastructure, and cost of living. Known for his long-standing dedication to PAS, he continues to represent and serve the people of Dungun.
